Mid-Atlantic

                                                ____________________________________________________________________________________
The force of the coronavirus outbreak has affected us all and in myriad ways. Many of us are anxious and unsure of what tomorrow holds…not knowing whether we or our loved ones will become infected…whether our jobs will continue to provide a stream of income we can depend on…whether we will be able to purchase the food and medicines we need…
As we follow the direction of our government, close our offices and remain in our homes, please know with certainty that the sisters are praying for you and for all the members of our Mercy family, and praying for the wider world as well.
In these deeply troubling times may our good and gracious God grant us relief from our anxieties, guide our leaders to right and just decisions, and protect us from the spread of this disease.

A Community of Mercy

Mid-Atlantic Community scolaIn the Mid-Atlantic Community, over 700 Sisters of Mercy, primarily throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey, commit their lives to God, and their resources to serving others. Sharing in our mission are 971 Mercy Associates and one Companion in Mercy.

You can also share in our mission by becoming a sister, associate, companion, social justice advocate or by making a donation to our life-changing works of Mercy.

The Mid-Atlantic joins the other five communities of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas in living the legacy started by our founder, Catherine McAuley, in 1831.

The administrative office of the Mid-Atlantic Community is located in Merion, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, with satellite offices in Brooklyn, NY, Dallas, PA, Watchung, NJ, and Hartsdale, NY.
