Gentle Shepherd Prayer

Gentle Shepherd,

You know us, you love us, you call us each by name.   

Daily we hear a multitude of voices through the news media, social media and even through our own inner commentaries. The many messages we hear can be confusing, contradictory and anxiety producing.  

You assure us that as your followers, we will recognize your voice when you call to us and that you will lead us not only through the dark valley of these days but to a place of refreshment.   

Help us find the quiet moments of refreshment each day to hear your voice and to trust where you lead.  

Good Shepherd and Guardian, may we draw closer to you each day that we might receive the life in abundance you have promised.
